Inspiration session: maritime crew wellbeing
This MCA Student Inspiration Session aimed to showcase the broad spectrum of challenges within the maritime industry regarding crew wellbeing and show how crew wellbeing is becoming more important in the war for talent.
The session also showed that crew wellbeing is not just a matter of health and regulations but also has a broader scope of creating wellbeing through better working and living conditions and addressing the needs of the crew both onboard as well as on shore. Technology can help in building applications to increase wellbeing.
Kathy Speelman (AMA), Anieke Lamers (Peekabond), Aggeliki Saranti (Euronav) and Yash Chawla (Anglo Eastern) shared their insights.
