Maritime challenges and how can we tackle them

Next week on the 16th of February, the Antwerp Maritime Academy is hosting the Science for Sailing symposium. The objective is to start a conversation about the future of the maritime industry, the digitization of the industry, the role of officers and sailors in this new digital maritime environment and how to prepare and train them for their future (digital) careers at sea or ashore.

We had a talk with Rowan Van Schaeren, AFNI General Manager at Antwerp Maritime Academy, on what maritime challenges he sees and how we can tackle them to work on a futureproof maritime industry.
